Mr Nyarko is an Energy Economist with specialities in Energy Strategy, Regulation, Economic Incentives, Pricing, Risk and Portfolio Management, Balancing & Settlements, Business Intelligence, Demand Modelling & Forecasting, Power Master Plans, Integrated Resource Planning, Techno-Economic Assessments. He has several years of experience in the energy industry across Power, Gas, Renewable and Oil. He has worked in the energy wholesale market, retail market and also with some experience on projects in the upstream oil and gas sectors. He has been involved in Strategy, Regulation and Commercial management of the market fundamentals and further interaction of the UK/EU markets. He has played key roles in the design, delivery and management of economic incentives and innovative projects that deliver long term value and efficiency. He has a solid insight and practical understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of the Generation, Transmission and Wholesale market sectors of the energy industry. Mr Nyarko has also worked in the Energy Distribution, Supply and Generation sectors for the biggest broad based Energy company in the UK and a major player in the Generation, Distribution and Supply sectors, where he gained experience across power, gas and renewables. He has also worked in Balancing & Settlements for wholesale electricity markets, including electricity code implementation, code changes/modifications, performance assurance and market-wide investigations. He has developed Business Intelligence solutions for energy data analytics, systems integration, market intelligence, data strategy, data insights & visualisation, training and capacity development. He also worked in the upstream Oil and Gas sector where he was involved in project analysis of large capital projects.He has also been involved in several knowledge sharing events and international conferences where he has made meaningful contributions and built strong international contacts with key people in national and global policies in energy and other areas of the economy.
